23 Kintyre Avenue – A Unique Piece of Riverside History
This property has a truly distinctive past. Originally constructed in the 1980s as the former Toronto clubhouse of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle club, the building was built to be incredibly solid, secure, and private. Its construction with oversized cinder blocks makes it exceptionally well-insulated and remarkably durable — a rare and impressive feature in today’s market.
After a period of vacancy, the home was revived and converted into a thoughtfully designed three-unit residence by a previous owner. In 2013, we were fortunate enough to become the next stewards of this remarkable property. Though we are not professional property managers, we have taken great pride in personally maintaining and improving the home with care and attention to detail.
In 2017, we completed a full exterior refresh with new paving stones, a custom front door, and new finishes. The upgrades were warmly received by neighbours, many of whom have fond memories of the building’s colourful history.
Over the past decade, we’ve enjoyed being part of the vibrant Riverside community, especially during a time of exciting growth and revitalization. The opening of the Broadview Hotel and ongoing development along Queen Street East have transformed the area into one of Toronto’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
As our family begins a new chapter, we hope the next owner will appreciate the strength, character, and uniqueness of this special home — and take just as much pride in caring for it as we have.
Sincerely,
Mark and Gillian
